Video Games Plus, which is North America’s premier independent videogame retailer and distributor, has shared the unfortunate news this morning that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on the Nintendo Switch 2 will ship as a code-in-box release. That’s right, no traditional cartridge or even a Game-Key Card, but simply a code in the box to redeem. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches October.

The future of physical gaming should concern every physical game fan… GTA VI — PS5 / Xbox Series X|S Diablo IV — Nintendo Switch 2 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 — Nintendo Switch 2 All code-in-box releases.
