Looks like the rumors were true, as the beloved Kingdom Hearts series had a strong presence at the D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase. The anticipated Kingdom Hearts IV, previously confirmed for a release on Nintendo Switch 2, was announced at the panel to be launching in late 2027, alongside the reveal that the game will feature a world inspired by the 2017 animated Pixar film, Coco. Additionally, an original Kingdom Hearts anime series inspired by the games was also announced, coming soon to both Disney Channel and Disney Plus, though a release timeframe has not yet been shared. |
