| By Sickr on January 17, 2025 | It was recently revealed that the newly released Donkey Kong Country Returns HD doesn't fully credit the individual developers who worked on the original version of the game for the Wii. Instead, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD end credits simply say "based on the work of the original development staff" and then continues to credit the new team at Forever Entertainment. Eurogamer reached out to Nintendo to provide a statement regarding its crediting policy and was told the following: "We believe in giving proper credit for anyone involved in making or contributing to a game's creation, and value the contributions that all staff make during the development process."
