Translator claims to have started on Persona 6 translation before January 2026

The long-awaited Persona 6 was unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase and promises to be another spectacular entry in the long-running JRPG series. A translator on the project claims they have been working on the Persona 6 translation since before January of this year, meaning that development has been going speedily at Atlus. Persona 6 wasn’t announced for Nintendo Switch 2, but we should assume it will eventually come to the platform.

Pokemon Pokopia gets special Wish Upon a Jirachi event

If you’ve been engrossed in Pokemon Pokopia you’ll be pleased to hear that a new in-game event is incoming. The Pokemon Pokopia Wish Upon a Jirachi event is set to begin 23rd June and sees you tasked with talking to Jirachi to get a recipe for wish notes. You are then tasked with interacting with other Pokemon who have various requests and then transform wish notes into sparkling wish notes. You can then visit Jirachi at your Pokemon Center of choice to exchange sparkling wish notes for furniture and décor inspired by the starry sky. The Wish Upon a Jirachi event ends on 8th July.

The Simpsons joins Fortnite’s IP Partner Program allowing developers to create “fully authentic” Simpsons games

One of the big announcements which graced Epic’s Unreal Fest Chicago 2026 developers conference is that Disney has handed Epic Games The Simpsons franchise from EA. This means that third party developers will soon have the tools to create or recreate «fully authentic» games based on the popular animated series in Fortnite. So we could see recreations of classic The Simpsons games such as Hit and Run etc. The Simpsons game-development tools for Fortnite will be available later this year.

Ubisoft Montpellier shares new concept art for Rayman Legends Retold

Ubisoft’s Rayman Legends Retold looks very promising despite many wondering why they didn’t embark on a brand new Rayman adventure. Today, Ubisoft Montpellier has shared some beautiful concept art which looks fairly close to how the actual game’s visual style turned out in the end. Rayman Legends Retold will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 on 1st October and seems to be a budget release according to retail listings.

Dispatch on Nintendo Switch 2 gets censorship toned down but it’s still there

Nintendo Switch system owners were looking forward to Dispatch coming to the two consoles but when it arrived it was heavily censored provoking outcry from the community. Thankfully the censorship has now been toned down, thanks to a new free DLC pack. However, certain aspects of Dispatch on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 are still censored, so it’s been a compromise.

According to the studio, certain “hard requirements” from Nintendo remain in effect, so seeing genitalia outright is still not happening, and certain erotic audio effects won’t be heard.

The team at developer AdHoc has explained why the game was so heavily censored on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in the first place. Here’s what they had to say:

“Approaching launch and running out of time and resources, we were surprised to learn that our game would require some level of censoring in all regions, not just the few we were already planning for,. In a difficult spot, we decided to use a single Switch build that complied with Nintendo’s strictest regional rating. This led us to deliver a more censored version of Dispatch than Switch players were expecting.”

Sonic x Fortnite is coming this year

The Sonic x Fortnite crossover event, which has been a long time coming, has just been confirmed by Epic Games. This particular event will be a collaboration with the content-packed Sonic Racing CrossWorlds and was officially announced at Unreal Fest Chicago 2026. Details on the Sonic x Fortnite collaboration event remains hazy, but we should learn more about it later this year.

Lumen Lite mode available for Nintendo Switch 2 development in Unreal Engine

Epic Games has announced that the latest version of Unreal Engine which is Version 5.8 is now available and it promises some improvements to Nintendo Switch 2 video game development. Unreal Engine 5.8 introduces a new Lumen Lite mode for in-game global illumination. This allows Nintendo Switch 2 games to utilise this lower performance lighting mode and simultaneously run a game at 60fps.

Lumen dynamic global illumination now offers a Lumen Lite mode, which is designed to preserve much of the visual impact at a significantly lower GPU cost by using irradiance fields with probe occlusion. Twice as fast as Lumen High Quality, it means that games that rely on global illumination for artistic purposes can run on Nintendo Switch 2 at 60 fps. It’s also supported on PC.

Pokemon Champions now on mobile devices and Version 1.1.0 available
