A leaker who doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to leaks, Nash Weedle, has said that Grand Theft Auto VI is under development for the Nintendo Switch 2 for a release in 2027. Weedle’s X post was picked up by Vice. Who translated the tweet which said the following:
Technical hurdles have been overcome
Specialists in Switch 2 ports have been brought in via subcontract
They keep telling me it won’t arrive this year
More insiders confirm to me that they’ve also received information from their sources about this port
It would seem common sense for Rockstar Games to pursue a Nintendo Switch 2 port for the juggernaut that is GTA VI, but if it’s doable to a good standard remains to be seen. If it’s actually happening they will doing their damnedest to make sure it turns out well.
