Capcom has announced that for the business year which ended 31st March it sold more games than any other year in its history. The company released the well-received Resident Evil Requiem which went some way in helping Capcom sell more games than in any other 12-month period. Capcom sold 59.07 million games during the business year, which is up from the previous year when it sold 51.87 million. The Japanese company said that 83.7% sales were from older ‘catalog’ titles. Capcom also revealed that a staggering 93% of games sold were digital downloads. |
