Windows Central has published an article looking at what's in store for Xbox in 2026 and have stated that not only is Fallout 3 getting the remaster treatment but the acclaimed Fallout New Vegas is getting the same treatment. The remaster will be similar to the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which was more of a remake than a remaster. Hopefully both of those games will find their way to the Nintendo Switch 2.

"Some have been wondering if a mysterious countdown on the Fallout TV show's Amazon Prime website is hinting at a shadow drop for a new Fallout game or remaster. I'm told this is not the case. However, we are eventually getting a Fallout 3 remake in the vein of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, as well as Fallout New Vegas on top."
