The co-creator behind the original Tomb Raider video game has revealed that the iconic Lara Croft nearly received an anime-style redesign for Japanese audiences back in the day. The anime-inspired designs for Lara were delivered quite late into the development process, so it is unclear whether time or a point blank refusal were to blame for it never materialising. Still it would certainly have been interesting to see.
