The team at Radical Entertainment were given the green light to have the license for the rights to The Simpsons for three sequels all completely free of charge by the team at Gracie Films. The team were blown away when they heard the news and then out of nowhere "some crazy person at the publisher (Vivendi Games) - we never found out who - said no" says Joe McGinn, the lead designer on The Simpsons: Hit & Run.
