XSEED and Marvelous have announced today that a spin-off to the well-received Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is coming to consoles at an unannounced time and have also released a trailer showcasing some in-engine footage. The game is titled Sakuna Chronicles: Kokorowa and the Gears of Creation. The story this time focusses on Sakuna's close friend, Princess Kokorowa. Check out the newly released trailer down below.

Currently in development by Edelweiss, developers of the smash-hit indie action-platformer and rice-farming sim Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, the title is the first entry in an expanding Sakuna franchise. The game will tell a spin-off story focused on the brilliant Princess Kokorowa, Sakuna's close friend, who is a high-ranking goddess presiding over wheels and inventions from her heavenly home. More information about Sakuna Chronicles: Kokorowa and the Gears of Creation including platforms and release timing will be announced at a later date.
