We've reported on the ratings of many different video games over the years, including games that Nintendo has released. Obviously, that also includes games that were released on the Switch. However, you may be surprised to learn just how early some of these games can be rated before they are officially slated to release.
For example, the German rating board, or the USK, has released some new data earlier today. In it, they mention that Mario & Luigi: Brothership was rated 301 days before its release, which was just a few weeks before the ESRB released their rating for the game. That 301 day period is the longest for a Nintendo game in the region in over a year. The last Nintendo game to have a similar period was Fire Emblem Engage, which received its rating from the USK 515 days before it released.
