Nintendo has seen a surge of demand for the Nintendo Switch 2 in The Land of the Rising Sun ahead of the previously announced price increase. One of the requirements at the My Nintendo Store when the console sees increased demand is that purchasers had to have at least 50 hours of playtime on their Nintendo Account for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has announced that it has scrapped that requirement in Japan. Now they are just limiting the console to one per-person.

Epic Games has announced that Rocket League will be one of the first games to use the in-development Unreal Engine 6. The company posted a short teaser showing refined grass, cars and lighting utilising the new game engine. Unreal Engine 5 launched in 2022 and it is unclear when this new version of Unreal Engine will make its debut.
