The official United States hardware and sales tracker Circana has revealed today that the Nintendo Switch has finally outsold the dominant PlayStation 2 console in the USA. The Nintendo Switch family of systems have now shifted over 46.6 million units since launching in March 2017. This means that the Nintendo Switch is now second only in the United States to the best-selling Nintendo DS console which proved to be force to be reckoned with.
Lifetime unit sales of Nintendo Switch have now exceeded those of PlayStation 2 in the U.S. market. With its 46.6 million units sold life-to-date, Switch now ranks 2nd in all-time units sold across all video game hardware platforms in the U.S., trailing only Nintendo DS.
