2024 was a very successful year for Atlus. They had released multiple games, including highly-acclaimed games such as Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio. The latter game has even been a contender for Game of The Year. Now that the year is coming to a close, questions are beginning to arise in regards to what they plans to do going forward.
Well, they're not opening up just yet, but thanks to some end-of-year messages that some Atlus devs sent to 4gamer, they are teasing some things. For example, product manager Shinjiro Takada mentioned "a title we're hoping to announce as soon as possible" that is currently in development. Naoya Maeda, director for P-Studio, the team that handles Persona games, said that "It's regretful that I'm not able to give you more details about the title I'm currently working on, but I am confident that it will offer your readers an exciting new experience".
The biggest teaser from Atlus, however, comes from P-Studio Creative Producer and Chief Director Kazuhisa Wada. Wada stated that "2025 is a year where we'll carefully steer the helm of several large-scale projects that are on track and staying the course, so that they don't shift direction. It's also the time for us to lay the groundwork for a variety of products, so we'll be proceeding carefully, and I look forward to eventually sharing them with everyone. The collective mass of these projects is enormous, so the cost of correcting any missteps would be significant".
