They also translate Japanese content into English so English readers can understand what is being said. Nintendo has a lot of interviews from many decades ago that they like to check out, but their work isn't exclusive to Nintendo. Even third-party companies get some attention from them. For example, they have resurfaced a 1988 BEEP Magazine interview with the developers of Dragon Quest 3, which was originally published just one day before the game was going to release. The interview features designer Yuji Horii, director Koichi Nakamura and composer Koichi Sugiyama. During the interview, Horii explained how the series had changed across the 3 games, saying that "Dragon Quest 2 had to be twice as interesting as Dragon Quest 1. Otherwise people wouldn't say it was fun; in fact, they'd say it was boring if it was just the same. And in that sense, Dragon Quest 3 had to be four times as interesting as Dragon Quest 1."
