Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, announced in August 2024 under the tentative name The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st, will release simultaneously worldwide on Nintendo Switch in Fall 2025.
GungHo Online Entertainment shared the news through a press release and announcement trailer, confirming that Nihon Falcom has partnered with the publisher to launch the game in the west at the same time as in Japan.
This follows reports from earlier in the year claiming that Nihon Falcom was making strides to cut down the delay between Japanese and western releases of their games.
The western release of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will have reworked localization, English and Japanese voiceovers, and the option for English, Japanese, French, and German subtitles.
A physical release was also teased, with standard editions to be available through Amazon in North America and through Clear River Games in Europe for $59.99 and €59.99 respectively.
Collector's editions from Limited Run Games will be unveiled at a later date.
