In a consequential week for abortion access, lawmakers in Florida, West Virginia and Arizona advanced 15-week abortion bans, taking aim at an already ailing Roe v. Wade.

A federal plan to distribute high-quality masks to kids comes as schools are relaxing safety protocols – a juxtaposition that adds to the confusion for parents trying to navigate the pandemic.

GOP candidates in not-so-reliably Republican states want – and in many cases need – the backing of Trump and his supporters. But their ads suggest they also know they need votes from moderates.

A pandemic windfall has bolstered state treasuries and politicians see it as a way to finance tax cuts and other programs.

The day U.S. intelligence reportedly predicted for a Russian invasion came and went without military action, but officials say there hasn't been any de-escalation.

Declining infections was one of the reasons many state leaders announced plans last week to nix their mask mandates.
