Ever feel like your thinking isn’t quite the same as it used to be? Decisions you would have made in a moment earlier in your life now require more deliberation. You puzzle and ponder more. Does it mean your brain is slower than it used to be?
Not quite. A recent study published in Nature Human Behavior that analyzes data from more than 1 million people sheds light on how our brains change as we get older. Decisionmaking does, indeed, slow when a person reaches their 60s. But it doesn’t have anything to do with your brain’s sharpness declining. And your ability to think creatively? There’s encouraging news on that front–particularly for business owners who started their entrepreneurial journeys later in life.
