It appears Rayman Legends isn’t the only Rayman game making a comeback this year, as an “Enhanced Edition” of Rayman Origins has now been leaked. Ahead of Summer Game Fest next week, a listing for the unannounced title briefly appeared on the XBOX Store before swiftly being removed. With Ubisoft listed as the publisher, the source doesn’t get much more reliable than that.

Based on the limited information in the description for the game, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition won’t be a full-blown remake like Rayman Legends: Retold, but rather a basic remaster with 4K resolution, 60fps, and quality-of-life features that bring “modern enhancements.” Despite the original also being 60fps, this is the first time we’ll see the 2D platformer running in 4K on modern platforms. Additionally, the 60 hidden relics previously exclusive to the PlayStation Vita version will also be included in the new Enhanced Edition.

Although the listing only confirms a release on Xbox Series X/S, we can only assume a Switch 2 release is on the cards, given Rayman’s history on Nintendo platforms. The original Rayman Origins (2011) was available for Wii at launch, and later ported to 3DS, so it would be quite unusual for the remaster to be exclusive to XBOX; Microsoft just happened to be the ones to leak the game a little too early. Pricing and release date information were not included in the webstore listing, so we’ll have to wait for the official announcement from Ubisoft in the near future.
