The Nintendo Switch has a ridiculously large instal base and not everyone has shifted over to the newer Nintendo Switch 2, which has recently been announced to be getting a price increase. Speaking to investors Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has hinted to them that it plans to maintain support for the Nintendo Switch while consumers dither about whether to upgrade. Nintendo Patents Watch says that they suspect that Nintendo’s acquisition of Shiver Entertainment and their investment in Forever Entertainment were part of the plan to further extend original Nintendo Switch support |
