SEGA recently merged a number of its established company's into two separate divisions. Unit 1 houses teams focused on single player experiences and Unit 2 houses teams which are primarily focussed on multiplayer experiences. SEGA has now announced that Sonic Team will now permanently be housed in Unit 1 as it primarily works on the Sonic video games. Unit 1 is lead by ex-2nd Development Division Head, Osamu Ohashi who was recently promoted to CEO of Atlus.

RGG Studio (Yakuza, Monkey Ball, Virtua Fighter)
P – Studio (Persona)
Studio Zero (Metaphor)
Studio Maniax (Shin Megami Tensei, Etrian Odyssey)
Unit 2:
Online R&D Department (PSO2)
Mobile Game Division (Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!)
