Nintendo has released a small update for Mario Kart World, pushing the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive to Version 1.6.1. A pretty major update adding the Bob-omb Blast battle mode was released just last week, so this update doesn’t add any new content, but it does squash a couple more bugs you may have come across during your gameplay. The full patch notes are as follows: |
Latest update: Ver. 1.6.1 (Released April 9, 2026) |
- Fixed an issue where you would sometimes not get a speed boost upon landing after starting a rail ride following a Jump Boost or similar action.
- Fixed an issue where the game would sometimes end when switching between TV mode and handheld mode / tabletop mode after starting a game with three or more players in Multiplayer.

Pokemon Champions has not launched in the way that The Pokemon Company would have hoped as numerous issues have been found with the game and it’s a clear case of the game needing more time in the oven before launching. Thankfully the development team are aware of the issues and have apologised and said that fixes are on the way. It should be noted that they have had only listed a small number of bugs with the full number currently unknown. Here’s what they said: |
«Thank you for enjoying Pokémon Champions,» reads a note from the game’s developer, posted online today. «We have confirmed that the following issues are currently occurring:» |
- The description of the «Leech Seed» state is incorrect. Incorrect: Takes damage equal to 1/16 of maximum HP. Correct: Takes damage equal to 1/8 of maximum HP. However, the calculation is correct during battle.
- Under certain conditions, when both Pokémon Mega Evolve simultaneously, the order may be unintended.
- The gender of some Pokémon in the tutorial is incorrect.
- The gender of some Pokémon in the released coordinated teams is incorrect.
- When in Encore state, the ability «Lightning Rod» may not activate correctly.
- When viewing move details during battle, if you hover the cursor over «Mega Evolution» and press the B button, you cannot select the move. If this phenomenon occurs, you can avoid the inability to select the move by opening and closing the surrender window with the «-» button.
«The above bugs are scheduled to be fixed in future data updates or maintenance,» the note continues. «We will continue to investigate other issues not mentioned above. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your continued support of Pokémon Champions.» |

The Pokemon Champions launch didn’t quite go how The Pokemon Company intended with lots of players on social media noticing bugs, missing items and missing Pokemon. Now it emerges that there’s a visual glitch in the game when it’s launched in docked mode. The glitch means that when the game is launched from docked mode it makes the game run at a lower resolution, rather than a higher resolution from handheld mode. A Reddit user has said that to fix this issue you need to re-dock the console or launch the game in handheld mode first and then dock the system. |

The wonderfully creative Pokemon Pokopia has recently been updated bringing the game to Version 1.0.3. This update is a particularly meaty one as there’s lots of fixes for some issues you may have come across while exploring the game. You will also be pleased to know that the controller vibration issue has also been fixed when performing multiple actions. |
Latest update: Ver. 1.0.3 (Released April 8, 2026) |
We have implemented improvements to address the following issues: |
- In some cases, Pokémon whose habitats have disappeared cannot be found even when searching for them using the “Search” function in the Pokédex.
Additionally, the following issues have been fixed. |
If these issues have already occurred in your game, applying this update will resolve them. |
- When traveling to a Dream Island under certain circumstances, you arrive at Palette Town and are unable to return to the original town.
- When moving between towns or when the in-game date changes, the screen remains dark, making it difficult to operate the game.
- If you perform certain actions, it becomes impossible to relocate Pokémon habitats.
- If construction is carried out in a certain way, building projects will not be completed until the in-game date changes.
- In Bleak Beach, performing certain actions prevents progress during the request “Power up the charging station!”
- In the Sparkling Skylands, performing certain actions causes the Pokémon that you requested construction help from to be removed, making it difficult to progress the request to rebuild the huge building.
- On Cloud Islands, performing certain actions causes seasonal Pokémon to disappear from the town and Cloud Island.
- When creating a new Cloud Island, an error occurs and the island cannot be created.
Some of the following issues have been partially fixed, making them less likely to occur. |
- By performing certain actions, the controller vibrates continuously.

It would seem as though the release date for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 is drawing closer as Amazon has produced a listing for the game. The action-packed title is listed for $80 and will be a Game-Key Card. The higher price is because it features the base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. We still don’t have a firm release date for the game, but all should be revealed soon. |
