Bloomberg is reporting that Nintendo has decided to cut Nintendo Switch 2 production down to 4 million. The Kyoto-based company was previously targeting 6 million sales this quarter, but weaker than expected sales in the United States has made them reconsider this. Nintendo has yet to officially confirm this, but Bloomberg has been told by their sources that it will plan an announcement soon.
"This hardware shortfall in its first year, during its big holiday season, is awful news," said Amir Anvarzadeh, Japan equity strategist at Asymmetric Advisors. "Clearly the software lineup has been poor, at least until most recently with Pokemon showing some hope."
