Good morning, Until the late 20th-century, women faced enormous challenges if they dared to run or start a company, and the few who did faced many challenges along the way. Take Madam C.J. Walker for example. In 1905 she, a single mother who was orphaned at 7 and widowed at 20, invented her own hair care products for Black women, eventually making Walker America’s first Black woman millionaire. She also employed Black women--who, in the early 1900s, didn't have many job prospects--to sell the products door-to-door.
