Nintendo has released an update for Pikmin 3 Deluxe, adding GameShare support for the Bingo Battle mode and enhanced resolution on Nintendo Switch 2. This latest update brings the game to Version 1.2.0, however further patch notes have not been shared, and makes no changes when playing on the original Switch. Exactly what “enhanced resolution” means has not yet been analyzed, so we aren’t quite sure if this is the big 4K update fans have been hoping for. Nintendo’s official announcement is vague; simply stating that it adds “support for the Nintendo Switch 2 display and high-resolution televisions, resulting in a sharper image.” Perhaps it also runs the game at 1080p in handheld mode without the need for Boost Mode. |
