Cartoon Base is reporting that the sublimely animated Super Mario Galaxy Movie has now made over $500 million in theatres worldwide. Variety reports that earnings in the United States should reach $308 million by Sunday, which is quite some achievement. Cartoon Base also reports that the budget for the film was $110 million, so it has made a fair bit of cash for both Nintendo and Illumination. |
