Team Cherry's excellent Hollow Knight: Silksong was a steal at $20 with many assuming before its release that it would be priced at a much higher price point. Team Cherry's co-lead, Ari Gibson, has said in ACMI's paperback Hollow Knight: Silksong guide, said the team thought that the price point was "reasonable" for most people and that while the game turned out to be huge, they never planned for it to be priced higher.

"Because we try to price the games at a reasonable level for people – and we have quite a habit of expanding the content to be quite large – it felt inevitable that it would get to a point where the value of what we make would warrant being recognised as a single title."
