The rumours are hotting up around the rumoured Nintendo Direct presentation for September with a couple of supposed leakers claiming that Capcom is preparing a native version of Resident Evil 7 for the Nintendo Switch 2. We received a bunch of Resident Evil titles on the Nintendo Switch, though these were cloud based games and weren't running natively on the hardware. A port of Resident Evil 7 for the Nintendo Switch 2 seems like a relatively easy job for Capcom. All we need now is a date for the September Nintendo Direct.
