Nintendo has announced that Switch user profile icons featuring Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 are being released for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The first wave will be available starting 25 September 2025, with two more waves rolling out over the coming weeks. If you're interested in using these icons for yourself, a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required.

For those who don't know, icons for Nintendo Switch are fully customizable with boarders and backgrounds, which can be purchased using Platinum Points that are earned for free by completing various My Nintendo missions. These can be accessed from the dedicated Nintendo Switch Online menu option located on the bottom left of the Switch home screen.
