Good morning, To keep employees from leaving amid the Great Resignation, you need to start asking the tough questions--at the right time. Most employers don’t know what employees are thinking until the exit interview and at that point it’s too late. In an attempt to retain workers, some businesses have started conducting “stay” interviews: one-on-one conversations that aim to solicit feedback and pinpoint problems before they lead to an employee quitting. Keep in mind though, these interviews are only helpful if employees feel comfortable enough to be honest--and some may not want to raise issues with their boss for fear of retribution.
