Ryan, staff writer at Inc., is stepping in for Cameron while he is away from the computer this week.  Good morning,  As reopening plans unfold across the country, many businesses are entering a new and especially challenging phase of the pandemic: operating with both vaccinated and unvaccinated workers. Take commercial glass repair company GlassExpertsFL, for example. Founder Dominique Kemps has devised two separate physical workspaces: one for vaccinated employees and another for those who remain unvaccinated. Unvaccinated employees attend meetings virtually, while vaccinated employees can wear a mask and attend in person if desired. Vaccinated employees can also eat lunch together, while Kemps has asked unvaccinated employees to eat in a designated area. "Frankly," she says, "it hasn't been easy." But experts say policies like these are necessary. Failing to address a stratified workplace--or even just relying on the honor system--could lead to legal trouble, a loss of morale, turnover, and employees falling sick.
