Asked about the celebrations happening around the anniversary of the series he was asked if there were any game developments happening. In his reply he appeared visibly flustered and said that it is not something he can actually talk about yet, leading many online to speculate that a new Chrono Trigger project is in the works. Whether its HD-2D project or a Final Fantasy 7 Remake-style project remains to be seen. "I can't talk about that," before immediately becoming flustered, jokingly adding comments like, "Wait, if I say that, you'll figure it out!," "Don't ask!," Asking is off-limits!," and "I'll get in trouble!". The whole panel then burst out in laughter and moved on with the show. The game is set to include Open Neighborhoods, larger crowd density and improved visual clarity over its predecessor and has yet to be officially announced by EA. The current The Sims 4 will eventually retire as the game engine is too old and too messy, so EA naturally wants to rebuild the base game along with the numerous downloadable content which is available. The information comes from a user who claims to have worked with the EA Firemonkeys team and has internal knowledge. You can read extensive details about this here. Project X It's being treated as a separate game and aspects from The Sims 4 will be carried over.
