That’s the philosophy of Jim Kwik--the founder and CEO of online memory-training company Kwik Learning and author of the recent book Limitless: Upgrade Your Brain, Learn Anything Faster, and Unlock Your Exceptional Life.
To learn a new subject quickly, he developed a method that goes by the acronym FAST. The letters (which stand for Forget, Active, State, and Teach) represent the four keys that Kwik, a self-described brain coach, says anyone can use to pick up a skill, whether that’s a new sales software or a new language.
Kwik shared these and other tips for achieving your brain’s full potential in Inc.’s latest “Real Talk: Business Reboot” streaming event on Monday. According to Kwik, the tremendous stress of this year has made it harder to stay focused and productive, which can ultimately affect your business’s bottom line. That’s why it’s more important than ever to bring an open mind and a positive attitude to everything you learn, and to stay engaged by taking notes, asking yourself questions, and applying new concepts.
