Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has talked a little about the handy Nintendo Classics range which is readily available for anyone subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online service. He firmly believes that the classic games from the past provide gamers with a “sense of nostalgia” while allowing them to become familiar with games which Nintendo has produced in the past. Furukawa said that they will be continuing the service and exploring various “possibilities” with regards to other formats such as Nintendo DS and Wii etc.
“We believe that being able to play these games provides a sense of nostalgia for consumers who played them in the past, while also giving new consumers an opportunity to become familiar with Nintendo’s game series and characters. Taking technical challenges and other factors into account, we would like to continue exploring a variety of possibilities going forward.”

Square Enix will be busy celebrating today as its brand new HD-2D adventure, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, entered the physical charts at No.6. The best-selling video game was 007 First Light which is headed to the Nintendo Switch 2 later this summer.
