There was an outcry from fans when the head of Moon Studios said on X that the game may not launch on the Xbox, which was the first platform that Ori launched on, before going multiformat. What's interesting is Mahler says that he's eyeing up the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 for the console launch when the game is out of Early Access. Wild news today as No Rest for the Wicked might skip the Xbox, that just depends on what seems to make sense for the Platform... PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 confirmed, I wonder if this is more just Xbox becoming a PC at this point or whatnot. Now it appears that the company believes that their inclusion in single player games makes players experience more fun with their games. It's not only profitable for the company to sell things like costumes or XP boosts in the Assassin's Creed franchise etc, but the firm has stated in a report that that their "monetization offer within premium games makes the player experience more fun by allowing them to personalize their avatars or progress more quickly."
