SpongeBob and P…  | By nintendojam on June 22, 2025 | At the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2025, SEGA premiered a new trailer for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds confirming that SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar the Last Airbender will soon be joining the race. SpongeBob and Patrick were both revealed to be playable racers, complete with a Bikini Bottom race track and a Patty Wagon kart. No gameplay footage of TMNT or ATLA was shown and a release date has not yet been not shared. The new characters will be released as part of the Season Pass DLC included with the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, as well as available for purchase separately. Steve, Alex, and Creeper from Minecraft were announced as the first Season Pass content pack at Summer Game Fest earlier this month. With SpongeBob, TMNT, and ATLA taking the next three slots, two more crossovers are still to be announced. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches for Switch on September 25th, 2025 and Switch 2 at a later date. | | | |
