The lawsuit, which is seeking compensation for damages due to infringement of multiple patent rights, has resulted in several changes being made to Palworld in response, and a further change will be coming with Patch v0.5.5. With this patch, all gliding will be done with a glider rather than on the backs of Pals. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, players would eventually unlock the ability to glide using a Hisuian Braviary, and in Scarlet and Violet the ability to glide using Koraidon and Miraidon would eventually be unlocked, so it is likely the changes have been made in reference to this feature.
